Get To Know Craig Meszaros

CRAIG A. MESZAROS STANDS
six feet, one-and-a-half inches tall. In any circle, he is considered a presence. While pursuing his economics degree at Ohio Weslyan University in the late 1960's, Craig was a four-year letterman on the OWU football team's offensive line. His role required the size, speed, strength and deftness to protect his quarterback from being manhandled by the opposition's 275-pound defenders.

USING ALL THE TOOLS
Knowing of Craig's size and background, one might think his current recreational activities call on it. Not so. It may surprise you to learn that Craig's passion today is needlepoint, a hobby which draws not upon his size, but on some other tools he honed during his football career: focus, patience and tenacity. Then and now, Craig has discovered that these are the tools that separate ordinary from, extraordinary.

MAKING A POINT
It starts with an idea. Will it be something simple or something difficult and elaborate? Whatever it is, Craig knows each new needlepoint project he undertakes will have a character all it's own. "Each project starts with a piece of canvas, just a sheet of blank color," says Craig, "But I try to look at it differently: I see it as potential. If you treat the work with pride and the utmost of your ability, you can turn that stark canvas into a beautiful work of art."

The ability to see potential where only blankness exists has served Craig well over the years, but nowhere more than in his professional exploits throughout New Castle County and Southern Chester County.

TIME-TESTED VISION
In a real estate career that has spanned over two decades, Craig has developed a philosophy and work ethic that is uniquely his. Like his art, he views each new client and their goals as a new opportunity to help create something special. "I believe my job is about helping people, and that means giving them a clear vision of the future," Craig says. "I don't believe in dilly-dallying. the moment I know what they are trying to achieve I set out to help them get it. After all, isn't that the point?"

EMPATHIZING WITH YOU
The basis for that kind of service lies in Craig's own family life. His wife, Bonnie, and their daughter Morgan are Craig's pride and joy. Time away from the office often finds Craig spending time with his family, biking through his Wilmington-area neighborhood or reading the new work by one of his favorite mystery novelists. But when free time allows
it, Craig's true passion is needlepoint. "I have found that immersing myself in a needlepoint work has a calming effect on me," Craig says. "It's quite refreshing to me. it gives me time to clear my mind and focus on the tasks ahead."
